Cheers to 25

Wednesday, February 7, 2018

Thank you God for another year. Today I turned 25 years old, where did the time ago..
I swear it feels like I just celebrated my 9th birthday, having a sleep over with my best friends, ordering pizza, drinking tons of soda, prank calling (remember that), drawing our crushes names on paper with hearts and staying up till 12am because we thought that was "so late." Now I celebrate by going out to dinner with my parents and then being home by 9, in bed by 9:30 (I'm seriously a grandma) but I wouldn't want to spend my birthday any other way. One thing I love to do around my birthday is look back at old photos and see how much I've changed through out the years. I can look at a picture and remember that exact moment right then and there. I love that feeling.. I've had some of the best moments while being a little girl to now a woman, I'm seriously laughing as I'm writing this because I think about all the funny adventures and moments I've had with many friends, family and so on.. I forget how blessed I really am.
Through out my years I realized that life is all about change and change is so good. As much as we all hate change, it happens.. Everything happens for a reason. This year I'm expecting a lot of change and I cannot wait. Not going to lie.. One thing I haven't changed is, I still make time to have those sleep overs with my best friends but this time instead of prank calling and drinking soda, we watch our favorite drama shows while sipping glasses of amazing wine in our yogas! (Oh, how I love adult life..)
Cheers to 25 my friends!

I had to share this picture with you guys! This is what happened right after we took only 3 pictures on the camera.. (look closely in the tree, thats my 5!)
So we had to call someone with a truck and crane.. Living in a small town has its perks sometimes.
My cousin and I seriously couldn't stop laughing, I think we both almost peed our pants!

Always love yourself

Thursday, December 7, 2017

"Stop hating yourself for everything you aren't & start loving yourself for everything you already are"

---------------

These last couple of months I realized that I need to start loving myself. Self love is the best love and once you start to love yourself so many wonderful things start to happen. You start to open your eyes and your heart to so many beautiful things that you never thought were beautiful.
I've spent years putting myself down and feeling insecure. Then one day I woke up, looked in the mirror and said to myself, "I'm a damn good person, You need to stop being so hard on yourself Taylor!" After that, my life started to slowly change. I remembered who I was and I wasn't going to let anyone or anything put me down like that again.

Sometimes you just have to give yourself prep talks! (Try it! I promise it helps)
Another thing that helped me was surrounding myself with incredible people. (Girls, you know who I'm talking about.. Your GIRL SQUAD)
My girls give me strength, positivity, laughs and show me that there is light at the end of every tunnel. I don't know what I would do without them. I swear.. I really don't.

Just remember to always love yourself, put yourself first and if you're ever feeling down call your girlfriends up or look into the mirror and give your self that prep talk.
Despite all the things that you think may be horribly wrong with you, remember to always
love yourself.

Traveling the Island

Sunday, April 9, 2017

Week one is a wrap my friends! I decided to jump on the blog and share some pictures of the beautiful island, Guam. We've seen and been to some of the best locations around the island! My favorite spot would have to be Tarague Beach. The water was so clear plus the water was warm, my type of beach. Can't wait to enjoy the rest of this island with family. One more week to go!

Xx,

Location: Tokyo

Monday, April 3, 2017

I am currently waiting at Narita airport located in Tokyo for my flight to take off to Guam.
Side note.. I've been here till 7:15 am and our flight doesn't leave till 5:50pm
It's been a long day so far.. My makeup is halfway gone, I need dry shampoo asap and my back is killing me from carrying my backpack. I just want to lay down in a nice comfy bed.
But besides all the pain and complaining I was super excited to have a layover in Tokyo because life here is so different in so many ways. I want to share a little bit of my experiences and stuff I've seen while I have this 10 hour layover at this magnificent airport.

1. FASHION here is so so stylish with a modern twist. I can't stop staring at everyone who walks past me lol

2. Tokyo is spotless! I haven't seen a piece of trash on the ground since we arrived.
Even out on the highways.
(USA set up your game!)

3. Police don't carry guns, they only have batons. I don't know if I should be worried or happy because people here no better than to mess with the law.

4. Everything is so high tech. They have a robot at the airport that will help you find your way around and will talk in several different languages.

5. KitKats come in many different flavors besides chocolate lol

6. Leaving a tip after you eat is an insult.

7. When traveling on a bus you have to be very quite. I was playing with my GoPro and some guy was giving me a dirty look because the sound was to high and he couldn't sleep lol the whole bus ride  was dead silent.

8. Okay.. so the toilets here have so many buttons it's like playing a video game about trying to flush without getting water sprayed in your face lol

9. The food looks exactly like the picture at the restaurants.

10. Yen is the currency of Japan and trying to buy stuff here is a hassle. Whenever it's time to pay all I do is hold my coins and cash out, then clerk (will laugh at first) but then will help me out.
It's totally embarrassing! lol

Top 10: Closet Must Haves

Friday, March 24, 2017

1. Plain T-shirts:

Plain tees are a must have because you can style them with practically anything. I can't tell you how many tees I have in my closet. My favorite style would have to be a slouchy v-neck because I like the relaxed look to it and I love styling it up with layered necklaces. If I don't wear any accessories I tend to either tie the bottom or tuck the front of my tee into my jeans. I honestly wear a plain tee at least 3 times a week. My closet is full of white, black, striped and gray tees that can go perfect with any pair of jeans or leggings.

(Cotton On has some of the best T-shirts, so soft! )
Short Sleeve V Tee, $14.90 or 2 for $20

2. Bralettes:

Oh man, Bralettes are my safe haven! I can't tell you enough how many bralettes I own, they're seriously my biggest must have. For me, I hate absolutely hate wearing bras! They're so uncomfortable and itch twenty-four-seven. Bralettes are perfect to layer with especially when you have that ugly bra strap showing lol This is the perfect item to replace it with, plus you don't have to worry about wires poking you.

Shop Love Street, Lace Overlay Bralette, $10.00

3. Everyday Studs:

Classic stud earrings go with everything and take any look up a notch. When your running late to work or school and just throw up your hair, add a pair of studs and it will make you look like you weren't running late at all.

Nordstrom Rack, Stud Earrings, $14.97

4. Black Leggings:

They're just as comfortable as sweats but look much more put together. When you think you have enough leggings you don't, you always need more!

Cotton On, Dakota Detail Legging, $14.95

5. Velvet Hangers:

This isn't clothing related but you really do need these amazing hangers! These hangers are such a life saver because they don't ruin your clothes and they won't fall off like those plastic hangers. I always get mine at TJ Maxx or Marshalls for only $9.99 for 25! Such a good deal!

6. Denim Jacket:

Just like your favorite pair of jeans, a denim jacket goes with practically everything and it's a great layering piece for any type of season. Whenever I'm in a hurry and need a jacket to throw on I always reach for my denim jacket. I swear it goes with anything!

(Forever21 has a lot of denim jackets to choose from)
Distressed Denim Jacket, $34.90

7. Black Booties:

Black booties in either leather or suede will go with everything you own in your closet and you can totally wear them year around. I think ankle booties are absolutely flattering on every leg shape, and a thick heel will give you height and will also make you feel comfortable while you are running errands in them all day.

H&M, Block-heel Ankle Boot, $19.99 (ON SALE)

8. Caps:

Baseball caps are one of my favorite accessories. This season baseball caps are on e of the hottest trends! I love this trend because you can cover up a bad hair day and still stay super comfortable through out your day.  I love wearing classic caps that support my team but you can also wear leather  or suede caps that are perfect for a more edgy look.

9. Slip On Sneakers:

Slip on sneakers became such a hit this season and I'm totally fine with it lol They're comfortable enough to walk miles in and they look so much better then the traditional sneaker.
Totally gives your outfit that extra dose of chic. I purchased these suede Steven Maddens at Nordstrom Rack and they are so comfortable. They did run a little big so I got them one size down.
They come in black, nude and a light baby blue I believe.

Steve Madden, Nordstrom Rack, $54.90

10. Flared Jeans:

You think you will never were them but once you put them on you will want to wear them for any occasion. Flared jeans are flattering to shape for most body types especially if you try a dark wash jean (dark always makes you look slimmer). Once you pair them with heels or wedges it will give you that extra height and it will keep the look casual and comfortable.

I hope you gals enjoyed! Have a great weekend, see you next Friday!

Floral Faux Leather Moto Jacket: Forever21
(direct link below)

Leather Ankle Booties: ALDO

Slouch Crew Neck Tee: Target

Denim High Wasted Shorts: Forever21

Belt: Forever21

Weather in California is always so unpredictable. It can be rainy and cold one day, then a couple days later, it'll be sunny and 75' lol but I love it. When I first put this outfit together I was actually going to wear a pair of skinny jeans, but the weather was just right for shorts! A couple weekends ago I was on the hunt for some good pairs of shorts and finding shorts for me are always the toughest for some reason. Either the shorts are wayyyyyy too short (which is not my style) or they're way to big around my waist.. But I got lucky and scored on these bad boys. They fit just right and they were only under $20; which is right up my price range!
Now, lets talk about the exquisite floral faux leather jacket from Forever21. What captivated me on buying this jacket was the floral embroidered collar and the shinny studs. It totally caught my eye!
The one thing I love about this jacket is that it's very light weight and the sleeves are long enough to where you can roll them up to give your jacket a little bit more of a touch. You can either dress it down like I did with a t-shirt or you can always dress it up by pairing it with a sleek black dress. This is definitely a jacket I'll be keeping in my closet a very long time. Xx.
